2003-12-08 @ 11:42 a.m. I asked my sister to get me John Kerry as president elect for Christmas next year. She said she didn’t know if that was possible. I respect Howard Dean and all his grass roots glory, I just don’t believe that republicans disillusioned with Bush would be willing to vote so far left just to get Bush out of there and I want Bush out of there. Besides, John Kerry said fuck in an interview with Rolling Stone. I think that’s a good sign. I was supposed to go to a Christmas party on Friday, but because of the impending doom of a blizzard, the party was cancelled. Now I have a box of hazelnut chocolates to eat all on my own and 6 scratch and win lottery tickets to play since they weren’t given away in the “unisex gift exchange.” So, the promised snow fell in increments. About two inches fell in the wee hours of Friday morning. A couple more inches fell Friday afternoon. Then, during the 2 ½ hours of my karate class Friday night, about 4 inches seemed to have fallen on my car. I have all this snow caked behind my front tires and it won’t come off. I wonder if I could keep it from sticking back there with Pam. I hate winter, but I have grown more confident in my ability to drive in the snow. Saturday, Miss Kitty went to see her husband and I escaped from grandma for a few hours to do some shopping, but I brought home a movie to watch with her and thankfully, she didn’t start the list of everyone who has died and left her again. I swear, I live in the house of the constant pity party. One of us is always feeling sorry for ourselves. Yesterday, I took one of my teenage karate buddies to our belt test about an hour away. It was a much more difficult test than normal. There was even a written part. I don’t know if I passed, but frankly, I’m happy I survived it. I got to break a board with a flying side kick. I don’t so much think I was flying and I don’t know that it was really a true side kick and it was my 6th try, but damn it I broke that fucker! So the surprise of a bonus check came in the mail on Saturday. It’s the best bonus check I have gotten –ever and that was definitely a great thing. Well, this morning my boss happened to come in for a few hours (she doesn’t normally work on Mondays). The first thing she says to me is “Are you happy, Jean?” I told her that I was definitely happier. She didn’t really like that answer. Oh well, hopefully I will be out of here before next year and I will be happy! Well, I’m gonna do a little online shopping now. Love to all. Images from emode.com's inkblot test.
