2003-11-06 @ 11:46 a.m. I got on the scale this morning and I lost another pound in the past couple of weeks. I swear it came right off my boobs. That pisses me off. Some day I think a way to redistribute fat will be developed. As I was leaving the gym, the old smoker guy approached my currently filthy car and I asked him how he was since his father recently died and he had told me that he thought his mother was on the way out as well. He said that his mother was in the hospital and it was just a day to day thing. Then he asked about me and told me that I looked better with the big blonde streaks that I recently got rid of. Okay, so he recently buried one parent and he’s expecting the death of the other and he’s concerned about my hair? He’s a funny guy. I told him that everyone else seemed to like the streaks, but I hated them and every time I looked in the mirror, they just seemed too bright, bold and unnatural. He told me that I didn’t have to look at me as much as everyone else did. I told him that I just needed a break from the streaks, but that they would make a comeback. Weird. So, Julio and I will meet tomorrow provided we safely manage the distance between us. I’m feeling a little more anxious today than I was before. I slept okay, but I woke up with a stomach ache. I know that every thing will be fine, but I don’t think the anxiety will go away until we are both safely at our meeting spot and can see that there are no extra heads or anything. After that, I think it will be silk. Well, I can’t think of anything else I need to write about because there’s a list of stuff I need to accomplish on my lunch hour running through my head and blocking anything creative from distracting me.
